I've read that you can use olive oil for lamp oil, but what about for hooping? Has anyone tried it?

mmm I really REALLY wouldn't try that. I don't know what that would do to your wicks...olive oil will not just light on fire when touched by a flame, as far as I know (I could totally be wrong)...and it's, well, oily. Talk about messy! It probably wouldn't burn completely clean in that there could be lots of residue. However, I can see the appeal as it's a very organic and natural material...but even if it did work, it would be dangerous. Oil fires are difficult to put out and I've been told you're never to use water to put out an oil fire because it can make it worse. Am I wrong? I would love more info from people on this as well.
