So, I've been mulling over Gail's offer of a brand new fire hoop up for sale, and I am almost ready to buy, save for one thing : her hoop is 99 cm in diametre, and me I'm used to hooping with a regular hoop with a diametre of about 70cm. I have hooped with hoops larger than this, and they always felt a bit awkward. However, I have yet to dance the sacred spiral dance of fire...

What are some of your expert and non-expert opinions and advice on this?

Thanks in advance!

I have a big fire hoop and a small fire hoop. My "big" one is bigger than a hoop that I would just use for regular hoop dance. Personally, I like the bigger one better because I feel like I can flow more and start dancing with larger flames more comfortably. With the smaller one, I can do more neat looking tricks, but the flames seems to be sooo close to each other that I have to wait for them to die down quite a bit before I feel like I can really get into it. So, it really just depends on what you like.
