If you're at the event where your tools are being used, then any liability issue that comes up is automatically applied to you, even if you weren't in the immediate area. Not sure why this is, but it's what a lawyer told me.

Why is it worse if you are at the event? I don't understand why that would affect legal responsibility.

Does anyone know if you can be held legally responsible in any way, if you sell a fire hoop to someone an they burn themselves badly while using it?
