Wed, July 29, 2009 - 3:39 PMHello, I am indeed interested. If you will sell it for $100 bucks I am in! What color is the hoop. Any scuffs/damage? Are the wicks still in mint condition? Do you have any extra wicks that come with it? I do wish it were a little smaller, but 40 will work. My name is

Re: Selling my unused fire hoop
Thu, July 30, 2009 - 5:48 AMI hooped until I was about 8 months pregnant, so if you feel ok and your doctor thinks it's fine, I say go for it!! As for fire hooping, maybe not such a good idea :) -

Re: Selling my unused fire hoop
Thu, July 30, 2009 - 8:45 AMmaybe fire hooping might not be te best...
but if you've been active and healthy and hooping all this time before, i think it would actually be a bad idea to just completely stop because you're pregnant. i feel like doctors might even advise that when people say "can i keep hula hooping?" but they don't really know anything about hooping. they are simply unaware that lot's of mother hoop (with larger lighter hoops) thru most of their pregnancy. a doctor will ok conventional movement/exercise like yoga, but might say no instantly when the words "hula hooping" come out. they just don't realize!
i dont have kids yet, but i know that as long as i wasn't prescribed bed rest, i would try and stay as active as i am comfortable with. not only to help keep off some of the baby weight along the way, but to make sure that my body stayed flexible and comfortable as it goes thru such drastic but temporary changes. if a doctor thought that i was healthy enough to do some sort of approved conventional exercise such as prenatal yoga, i would talk to the prenatal yoga instructor about hooping, they would be able to offer more specific advice about exercising while pregnant, and could prolly make a better case to your doctor about hooping too.
this is all only if they think you're healthy enough for conventional exercise of course! -
