Hey everyone,
I am in the process of buying a fire hoop and I want to make sure that I get the right one for me. The most important feature for me is weight. I have a neck problem and my current fire hoop is just becoming too painful to use. I was looking at the spinsterz new, lighter fire hoop and it looks great. Anyone have one, seen one, hooped with one? I'd love to know what you think of it.

Sat, November 10, 2007 - 9:39 PMThe Spinsterz hoops are really great. The new and improved, light weight spines make the hoop much lighter. I have been using the new spines for about 3 months and find the hoop considerably lighter and more manouverable. The smaller wicks are nice as well, for those who don't want too much fire. I have owned one for about a year and have no problems. Even had it made into a collapsable.
I totally recommend their products for anyone that wants a highly responsive and well built fire hoop.

One thing though, I got a conformation email 6 days ago but I didn't get any reply to my questions and I didn't get any kind of shipping conformation from them. Is this normal for this company or have they forgotten me?

Marley is the one who you will need to chat with and I am surprised that you didn't get your reply? I would try again as I know her personally as I am a part of "The Spinsterz".
By the way" I have the newer lighter version of the fire hoop and I love it too!

Mon, November 12, 2007 - 11:41 AMNo reply yet. I tried emailing two different addresses and I have now called twice with no luck. I am starting to get a bit worried since I did just drop a lot of cash into the company. Could she be on vacation or something?
I was hoping to have the new hoop for a show at the end of the month, but I fear that it isn't going to happen. -

The Spinsterz are good friends of mine too. Hopefully you will be hearing from them very soon.

Thu, November 15, 2007 - 6:00 AMI feel better now. I have actually had several replies and everything is back on track. I think this is a good company that just experienced a little glitch. It seems like everything is now worked out and I will get my hoop in plenty of time for my next show. Thanks to everyone who helped out

i am not very good, but you can see the hoop.
i love it, although it is a bit heavy for me, which makes some of my moves a bit awkward and slow.

Mon, December 10, 2007 - 8:12 AMI love mine; being able to take out the spines is really convenient for traveling because you can (theoretically) only take one hoop. The spine design is really genius, too. If you're interested in a super-light hoop, I know people who make them themselves (Caroleena, who moderates the Hoop Videos Tribe has a good recipe for one), but if you're going to order one, the Spinsterz hoops are well built and reasonably priced. -

Wed, April 16, 2008 - 3:25 PMwould you recommend the big wicks or the smaller ones? I kind of like the idea of the hoop lasting a little while (wick I mean), or maybe one would get too tired? I have never fire hooped but I am going to start and it looks like i will definitely go with the Spinsterz.

Wed, April 23, 2008 - 12:22 AMIf you haven't fire hooped before, I recommend the smaller wicks. They will last plenty long! I think the larger ones are more applicable to performances and such.
